Class Action Status Granted to McDonald's Lawsuit

In 2014, a lawsuit was filed against the McDonald's Corporation and the franchise owner of five Northern California locations for pay violations dating back to 2010. Over 500 workers were systemically underpaid, through deliberately incorrect time cards, unpaid overtime, and inadequate wages for those who quit or were fired. While not the first lawsuit filed against the McDonald's corporation in recent years, this is the first to be granted federal class action status.
